Charles Numa Ensch(-Tesch) (June 10, 1841 in Ruette – October 30 == Political life == Numa was a son of Jean-Baptiste Ensch, secretary of the city council and councilor at the province, and of Marie-Catherine Maud'huy. He married Flore Tesch and he chose to append her name to his. Flore Tesch was the daughter of Emmanuel Tesch and the niece of Victor Tesch.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title=Les industries de la famille Tesch )〕 He promoted to doctor at law (1866) at ULB. He became a lawyer at the bar of Arlon (1866-1907). He also worked at ''L'Écho du Luxembourg'' in Arlon. In 1879 he became member of the city council of Arlon. In 1889 echevin and from 1901 till 1921 he was the mayor of Arlon. Joseph Netzer was his predecessor and he was succeeded by Paul Reuter. He was a member of the provincial council from 1868 till 1885. In 1885 he was electected representative for the arrondissement Virton for the liberal party and he performed this mandate until 1888.
